How do I use the new Dynamic QoS feature on the R7500/R8000?

This feature will improve the quality of your online gaming and online streaming because it will prioritize their usage. The router will automatically limit the background traffic such as bittorrent or file downloads once it detected online streaming or online gaming.

Symptoms:

Online games freeze or lag
Video streaming buffers

Procedure:

Use a computer that is connected to your R7500/R8000.
Open a web browser and go to http://www.routerlogin.com.
Click on Advanced Tab. Go to Setup and click on QoS Setup.
Click on Enable Quality of Service and click on Apply.
The router will now run a speed test to detect the Internet bandwidth. Click on OK for the setup to start detecting the Internet bandwidth and click OK again once the testing is complete.

Note: You can also manually set the Download Speed and Upload Speed by selecting I want to define my Internet bandwidth. Just enter the Upload and Download Speed and click on Apply.
To view the bandwidth utilization per device, click on Click here to see bandwidth utilization by device and application or just go to Attached Devices under Administration.
To change the Device Name and Device Type, select the device and click on Edit. Type the Device Name that you like and click on Apply.

Note: You can change the device type by selecting the correct on in the drop-down menu.
To check the Device Bandwidth Usage per application, just click on the device under Attached Devices table and wait for the page to reload.

QoS is now properly configured on your R7500/R8000.
