How to enable my EX7000’s Access Control feature?

You can prevent other wireless devices to have access to your EX7000.  By enabling Access Control feature, you can deny those devices to connect to your wireless network.

To enable Access Control, follow these procedures below:

  1. Use your computer that’s connected to the EX7000 via wired or wireless connection.
Note: The Device to Extender LED  lights solid green to indicate that a device is currently connected to the EX7000.
  2. Open your Internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
  3. Enter www.mywifiext.net in the address bar of your Internet browser.
  4. On the login page, type your Email and Password and click on Log In button.
  5. On the NETGEAR Genie page, click on Settings then Connected Devices.
  6. Look for WiFi Devices table.
  7. Check the Enable Access Control checkbox and click on the device(s) that you want to deny access. Click on Save to apply the changes.

Once settings are saved, Access Control is now properly configured and only allowed devices will have access to your WiFi network.
