How do I restore default file and shared folder access rights on my ReadyNAS OS 6 storage system?

To restore the default file and folder access rights on an individual shared folder:

1. Select Shares > Shares.

A list of shared folders and LUNs on each volume displays.

2. Select the shared folder that you want to configure

3. From the pop-up menu that displays, click Settings.

The shared folder settings display in a pop-up screen.

4. Click the File Access tab.

5. Click the Reset tab.

6. Click the Reset permissions button.

An info pop-up appears outlining the effects of the reset permissions action, click Yes to confirm you wish to proceed.

The default access rights are restored. Owners, groups, and anyone else with access to the shared folder gains read/write access to all files and folders on the shared folder.

The permissions are now reset on the share to the default permissions. The default permissions allow Owners, Group and Everyone Read/Write access.
